The Enterprise Data Warehouse Reference Architecture, powered by Sybase IQ and Sun servers and storage, is designed from the ground up for unsurpassed query performance and the lowest total cost of ownership for your analytical applications--bar none. Unlike traditional database, Sybase IQ is architected for analytics--not transactions--with a column-based structure and patented indexing that make it the preeminent choice for data warehousing. The Enterprise Data Warehouse Reference Architecture enables organizations of all sizes to achieve unprecedented business intelligence benefits.
Sybase ASE Cluster Edition for SPARC/Solaris
Sybase ASE Cluster Edition introduces a brand new shared disk cluster implementation for ASE. 64-bit Solaris is the first UNIX operating system to be supported. ASE Cluster Edition is ideal for using Sun multicore and multinode systems with Sun storage networking solutions in a clustered architecture because the Sybase ASE Cluster Edition Virtualized Resource Management technology and logical clusters allow IT departments to easily operate multiple applications on one installation. Each logical cluster is a set of ASE server instances with its own dedicated physical resources and its own load balancing and failover rules. Workloads and applications are assigned to a logical cluster to maximize workload performance and availability.
